Here's ViKtoria views as day after day, I progress into the economics theories which ultimately, guide the direction of our daily lives. Feel free to comment to challenge my ideas or support me in my progressive thinking ... Somehow I can't do it on my own: I need to know - and desire SO- that I will be read and criticized till I make perfect sense and my argument is bullet-proof. I want to know I stand tall within the ideas that shape our World and I need Your feedback for that !
Simply put, I write to share the way I see the World: blogging makes me feel less alone, connected to society in a very strange way. Randomness of searches will bring you here for You to see my words of hope for greater days. I hear you wonder, why writing about economics should bring light to those grey times of ours ?
First, there is so much to be say about my learning experience as an Economics Major, so much new and some very old ideas to explore ! So much that when my way through University will be over, I won't remember all those comments I had about how weird things appear from the newbie point-of-view. So here, we will be able to look back and built a solid comprehension from the foundation. I will question what I don't quite understand, and review the assumptions on which it is laid on. Because by understanding where ideas come from, and how they came to be so prevalent, we can form an educated view of what could be if we chose different principles on which to built our ideology.
I know how important paradigms are: they can lock you in a way to think that you convince yourself that what you think IS an absolute truth, while it isn't. The strength is not in the idea itself, which may be as good as any other, but it's within the belief: our desire to have the "truth" all figured out !!! We give so much credits to ideas that we forget that they are to a greater or lesser extend, educated opinions which are shaped by our belief system. (Or by the authorities, to which we have this "tendency" to comply without questioning.)
We forget that it is within our Power to reinvent what exists ! It is not an easy task, but a good enough reason to try. It is worth it to put my mind into action and think through those foundational concepts. Don't be fooled, the industrial revolution still affects us today, and will continue till someone shakes the roots of it... It might even kill future generations for all I know!
What I do know is that our Economic system is a maze of ideologic convictions. Which are in need of readjustments.
